Jonny basically asks Couric if she is listening. Despite the name of the segment, Jonny and others (including me) see this as yet another way big-name people can get their views across to us. Why not just call it This is TV Also? Basically, this is the same message made by the same people but wrapped in a different package. The name implies a more interesting theme but the segment, so far, fails to deliver.

Jonny and Steve Garfield, who has started the website Say It To Katie, both would like to see a more open forum, talking to viewers and engaging them in a dialogue, not just delivering what the network wants to feed us.

Go check out these links and form your own opinion. What do you want to see? Tell Katie Couric and the rest of the world!

Help support a video blogger

Westen Muntain - Printmaker

Westen Muntain's work will be featured in a show at the Dadian Gallery, which is at the Wesley Theological Seminary. These falls are on the Potomac River and can also be seen from the MD side, although I have not ventured there yet. Honestly, I can't imagine a better view than what we have in McLean.

It's the darndest thing to watch the kayakers actually paddle upstream a bit then get tossed about in the rapids. some roll over, others submerge but I have yet to see an accident there. However, my uncle once found a dead kayaker there probably 25 years ago. It's quite a dangerous area, even for experienced people.

Formats available: Quicktime (.mov)
Donate

Technorati Tags: Great Falls, National Park, kayak, kayaker, Potomac, river, dcmetrostories

Help support a video blogger

Welcome to DC Metro Stories!

This site is a repository for stories from across the DC Metro area, whether audio or video podcasts, written stories or images.
